Winner of the Best Beatport Minimal Artist 2009 award, Alex Young is the first and only Spanish-speaking producer to achieve such recognition. Since 1991, this Colombian-born artist has explored music through cassettes, vinyl, and CDs—embracing sounds from all styles and eras. Driven by his passion for keeping the dance floor alive, he has traveled extensively across the Americas, bringing his groove and energetic style to cities such as New York, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago de Chile, Oranjestad, Phoenix, San José, Guatemala City, and Mexico City. His musical vision is eclectic: a classic DJ shaped by the old school, Alex has become a true “psychologist of the feet.” He navigates Minimal, Tech House, and Techno seamlessly, guided not by order but by the perfect moment for each genre. His productions have become global references and trends, earning the trust of renowned artists like Sasha, Josh Wink, Richie Hawtin, Supernova, Deadmau5, Roger Sanchez, Noir, Neverdogs, and Marco Carola, who regularly feature his tracks in their sets.
