Biography

Carlos Ruiz, one of the pioneers of DJing in Argentina, began his career at the age of 8. By 15, he was already a student of the renowned Maestro Oscar Calderón. In 1999, he was crowned winner of the Dee Jay Battle Electro Show, and in 2000 he secured first place in the prestigious Gemini contest. His definitive breakthrough came in 2004 when he won the Heineken Thirst DJ Contest, which gave him the opportunity to share the stage with Tiësto — a milestone that marked a turning point in his career. With more than 30 years of experience, he remains an undisputed reference in Argentina’s electronic music scene. He has shared the booth with internationally acclaimed artists such as Dave Clarke, DJ Murphy, Juan Atkins, Luigi Madonna, Marika Rossa, Spartaque, Tiësto, Stefano Noferini, Dusty Kid, Pig & Dan, Angy Kore, among many others.
