Biography

NIELL is an Argentine DJ and producer who began his career releasing music on labels such as Mutant Records, Müldøøn Music (now defunct), Let’s Techno Records, Industrial Techno United, Lucifero Records, and Division Palescente L&S, all focused on techno. His style is defined by a combination of dark, immersive sounds. His sets overflow with intensity, pushing pure techno to its highest expression. Born in Buenos Aires on May 27, 1978, he started his path as a DJ at the age of 25, performing at parties and clubs across the city. He was part of Diego Cid’s Submerged cycle, where he shared the booth with artists such as XHEI, always enjoying and playing with techno music. NIELL draws inspiration from influential figures including XHEI, Hefty, Niereich, DNS, OTIN, Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Oscar Mulero, Kyle Geiger, Rebekah, Jeroen Search, and Christian Schachinger, among others. He works with dedication every day, often spending long hours in his home studio, focused on what he loves most: music. His goal is to continue developing a unique sonic identity through the use of synthesizers. A true lover of machines and vinyl, he believes that techno in this format is the purest and most authentic expression. NIELL feels a deep passion for old‑school music and underground culture, which he proudly states he will never stop belonging to.
